Why the iPhone 17 is worth selling now
An iPhone drops more value in its first eighteen months than at any other point in its life. The 17 generation is still the current line, many units are still inside Apple's one-year warranty window, and second-hand demand in the UAE for the newest hardware is steady.
At this age, condition does almost all the work. Battery health is usually still in the high nineties, so the offer turns on the screen, the frame and the back glass. The Pro and Pro Max moved to an anodised aluminium unibody, and those edges pick up scuffs faster than the titanium frames before them — worth checking under a light before you message us.
17, 17 Air, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are not one price
We quote every model in the line separately, because they behave very differently on the used market. The standard iPhone 17 runs the A19 and, unlike earlier base models, ships with a 120Hz ProMotion display and a larger starting storage tier. Both lifted its resale floor above where a base iPhone normally sits.
The 17 Air is the thin, single-camera model and it is eSIM-only, with no SIM tray at all. It is a striking phone, but one rear camera keeps demand narrower than the Pro, and our offers reflect that. The Pro and Pro Max carry the A19 Pro, three 48-megapixel rear cameras and vapour-chamber cooling, and the Pro Max is the only one offered in the very top storage tier — it is consistently the strongest of the group.
The 17e sits at the entry point of the line and is specified more simply than the standard 17. We buy it, and we price it on its own rather than treating it as a discounted 17.
eSIM, Quick Start and what to do before you come
Move your data across with Quick Start first if your replacement phone is already in your hand. It leaves the old handset ready to pass over rather than half migrated.
The eSIM is the part people forget. Every 17 sold here carries at least one eSIM profile and the Air carries nothing else, so transfer the line through your operator's app or delete the profile in Settings before you travel. Leave it in place and we will do it with you at the counter, but it adds time to the visit.
A phone still signed into an Apple Account cannot be bought by anyone, us included, and that is checked in front of you before any money moves. Bring the phone, the cable, your Emirates ID, and the box if you still have it — on a current-generation handset the complete kit does move the final number.
