There is no cut-off year. We still buy Intel MacBooks from the middle of the last decade, and machines that no longer boot are bought for their parts. What changes with age is the shape of the offer: an Apple silicon machine is priced as a laptop somebody will use, while an early Intel one is priced closer to the sum of its screen, chassis and board.
Yes, if you are authorised to sell it. We record the seller's Emirates ID on every purchase, so bring yours, and we need someone able to sign the machine over on the company's behalf. The paperwork goes out in the company's name. Make sure it was signed out of the previous user's Apple Account, because a laptop still tied to an employee cannot be resold.
That is one of the most common reasons people message us. Send the details a few days before you fly so the number is already agreed, then walk in whenever it suits and take cash, which is simpler than a transfer if your bank account is about to close. Bring your Emirates ID as usual. If a phone and an iPad are going too, list them in the same message and we price the lot together.
