IT asset disposal

Corporate laptop buyback and IT asset disposal

Corporate laptop buyback in the UAE, run the way a finance team needs it. Every device is matched to your asset register by serial, wiped with a certificate, and settled on one invoice to the company account. We collect from your office, take the fleet off your floor, and hand back the paperwork that closes the disposal.

Tell us about your fleet

IT asset disposal that survives an audit

IT asset disposal in Dubai usually fails on paperwork rather than on price. A fleet leaves the building, the asset register is never reconciled, and six months later nobody can prove which serial went where. We work the other way round: the register comes first and the money follows it.

Send the register export with model, storage, purchase year, serial and any condition notes, and indicative values come back line by line against your own rows. At collection every unit is counted and its serial recorded against that same list, then a collection note is signed before anything leaves the floor.

What you end up with is a closed loop: your serials, our grades, our prices, one signature. No part of the chain depends on somebody remembering what was in the boxes.

Splitting the work before collection day

The release work is yours and it decides what the fleet is worth. Nobody outside your tenancy can take a machine off its management server, so the person holding those credentials has to clear the fleet before handover, and if that person has already left the business you should budget time for recovering access. Our Apple fleet page sets out the exact sequence.

Everything else on your side is physical. Pull corporate SIMs and eSIM profiles, take out memory cards, and decide whether you want asset tags returned rather than binned. Keep chargers, keyboards, mice and Apple Pencils with the units they belong to, because a matched unit grades higher than a bare one plus a box of loose accessories nobody can attribute.

Our side is the wipe and the testing. Every storage-bearing unit is sanitised and a certificate is issued against its serial, so the destruction record and the asset register use the same identifier and reconcile without manual matching.

The audit pack finance signs off on

Corporate device buyback in Dubai stalls at finance more often than at IT, so the pack is built for finance. You get a schedule listing every unit by model, storage, serial, grade and price, the signed collection note, a data destruction certificate per device, and one invoice from CRONUS SMART GENERAL TRADING L.L.C. covering the lot.

The schedule is the document that does the work. Because it carries the same serials as your register, the disposal can be posted against net book value row by row instead of as one unexplained credit, and an auditor asking about a specific machine two quarters later has a grade, a price and a date for it.

Payment is a single bank transfer to the company account: one reference, one line to post. The invoice is raised to the entity that owns the assets even where collection happens at a different office, which keeps intercompany recharges out of the transaction entirely.

Timing a buyback around a hardware refresh

Most fleet buybacks are not one collection. New machines land in waves, the old ones leave in waves, and collections are scheduled department by department as each group is handed over. Multi-site companies can split a lot across offices and free zones without splitting the invoice.

Fleets from ten units upward run through this route, and slots are booked inside our office hours. We collect from DIFC, DMCC, JAFZA, Dubai Internet City and the other free zones, plus Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the northern emirates, and free zone entities usually need a gate pass arranged a day ahead rather than on the morning.

Prices move with the used market, so an indicative range quoted two months before a refresh is re-quoted once the handover dates firm up. Tell us the planned window early regardless. It lets us hold inspection capacity for the volume rather than fitting a fleet around walk-in traffic.

What a corporate lot can include

The core of most corporate lots is Apple: MacBook Pro and MacBook Air fleets, company iPhones coming off a plan, iPads from sales and field teams, and the iMacs, Mac minis, Mac Studios and Mac Pros sitting on design, video and finance desks. Apple Watches issued to staff come through the same route.

Workstations are worth stripping before disposal. NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards hold value independently of the machine around them, and a card listed as its own line usually earns more than one buried inside a tower. Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel handsets from company plans are taken alongside the Apple stock.

Whatever the mix, list it in full before collection so the indicative range reflects what is actually on the shelf rather than what was budgeted for. Fleets are rarely uniform, and mixed Windows laptops are accepted as part of a bulk corporate lot, priced separately from the Apple units. Anything you are unsure about is a one-line WhatsApp question, not a surprise on collection day.

Corporate buyback and ITAD questions

Can a company sell its laptops directly to you in the UAE?

Yes. We buy from the company entity rather than through an employee, invoice that entity and pay into its bank account. Company laptop buyback in Dubai works the same way whether you are a free zone entity, a mainland LLC or a branch office winding down. The device list and a signed collection note are what the deal runs on.

What do you need to be set up as a vendor in our procurement system?

Our trade licence and company registration details for CRONUS SMART GENERAL TRADING L.L.C., our bank details, and a completed copy of whatever supplier form your procurement team uses. Send the form early and it can be signed and returned before the collection is booked, so nobody is chasing documents on the morning the van arrives. A purchase order is not required from us, but we will quote against yours if your process needs one.

How do you prove data was destroyed on our devices?

Two documents bracket the chain. The collection note signed at your door lists every serial that left the floor, and the sanitisation certificate issued afterwards lists the same serials with the date each wipe completed. Wiping and testing happen at our own Sheikh Zayed Road office, not at a third-party site, so the fleet moves in one hop from your building to ours.

What happens to devices you cannot resell?

They are wiped first, then broken down for working components: boards, screens, batteries and housings that keep other units alive. Nothing is passed on whole and unwiped, and a unit that fails bench testing does not quietly reappear on a shelf. Failed units still appear on your schedule with a parts grade against the serial, so the register closes on every row rather than most of them.

Can you quote against our fixed asset register?

Yes, and it is the fastest route in. Export the register with model, storage, purchase year, serial and any condition notes, send it on WhatsApp or by email, and indicative values come back against your own rows. The firm figure follows inspection, since battery health, storage tier and screen condition move prices more than purchase year does.

Do you take monitors, docks and peripherals with the fleet?

Accessories that belong to a device travel with it and lift its grade: the charger, the keyboard, the Apple Pencil, the case. Standalone items are different. Monitors, docks, networking gear and desk phones are not part of our catalogue and we would rather tell you that now than leave a pallet of them unpriced on collection day. Graphics cards pulled from workstations are the exception and are quoted on their own lines.
