Selling a current-generation card is different
Blackwell cards are new enough that most are still inside a retailer warranty, and that is the single biggest difference between selling a 5080 and selling anything older. A card with cover left behaves almost like retail stock in the second-hand market. A card with no invoice does not.
So the first thing to dig out is the invoice, not the card. Keep the box, the accessories and the serial sticker together, and bring any partner-brand registration details as well.
Condition still counts, but on a card this young we look for installation damage and workload history rather than years of wear.

Power connector and PSU cable
The 5090 draws more power than any GeForce card before it, and the 12V-2x6 socket needs to be fully seated so that current spreads across every pin. We inspect the socket on the card and, if you bring it, the cable you actually ran.
What we look for is browning on the contacts, heat marks on the plastic housing, and a latch that no longer clicks home. A native cable from a modern power supply that was never bent hard against a side panel usually shows nothing at all.
Bring the cable or adapter with the card. A clean socket with a marked cable means a cable to replace, not a deal to walk away from.

Memory, workloads and who buys these next
The 5090's 32GB of GDDR7 puts it in front of buyers who are not gaming with it at all: local language model work, 3D rendering and heavy video timelines. The 5080 and 5070 Ti at 16GB, and the 5070 at 12GB, sell to the gaming and streaming side.
That is why we ask what the card has been doing. Months in a rented compute node is not the same life as evening gaming at identical age, and hours get priced the way mileage is priced on a car.
Undervolting, a vendor vBIOS update or a custom fan curve are all fine. A flashed third-party BIOS is something we need to know about before you arrive.

What your card is worth today, not at launch
Some 50 series cards were bought well above list price during the launch crunch. Second-hand value tracks what the card resells for now, not what was paid then, and we would rather say that on the page than at the counter.
Our figures move with current stock levels and demand, which is why every card is priced when you message us rather than in advance.
Before payment we match the serial printed on the card and on the box label against the invoice you brought. That one check is what lets us pay for the warranty still sitting on the card instead of ignoring it, so a mismatch — a replacement card issued under a claim, say — is worth mentioning up front.
